Who am I?
So you want the short answer? I’m Jesse. I’m 23. I’m an junior officer in the US Navy, designated submarines. My home is wherever my sweatshirt is…and I live by one rule, “uno vita”. One life. Make the most of it.
The Family:
I’m fortunate enough to have several families. 
The Taylors… My mom lives out in Colorado and makes jewelry. My sister lives in Fort Collins, CO with her boyfriend, Jason. He’s working on his masters in economics.
The Brandts… Jason, my sister’s bf. Stephanie and Nathan, pretty much my brother and sister live in Frederick, MD attending colleges. Sam and Sandy Brandt, two of my Maryland parents.
The Rosens…. My best buddy and old roommate, Bill Rosen’s family. Bradley, Shera, Steven, and Mr. and Mrs. Rosen. There is no place on the planet I feel more welcome.

Education:
I got my bachelors degree in Computer Engineering and a minor in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire. I went to graduate school for Computer Science at West Virginia University and did research under Dr. Goseva-Popstojanova. I graduated from Naval Nuclear Power School in January. I’m an addict of knowledge.
Career:
I started off humbly as a Blockbuster retail clerk. Then onto the thrilling world of a grocery store bakery department. Next I landed my first career related work as a software automation intern at Computer Associates in Portsmouth, NH. Once in grad school, I worked as a graduate research assistant for Dr. Katerina Goseva-Popstojanova at WVU on a both NASA funded and Avaya Labs software reliability research. Currently? I finished Officer Candidate School in Newport, RI and became an Ensign in the US Navy… headed to Charleston, SC for Nuclear Power School and shortly I’ll be off to Groton, CT to continue submarine officer training.

More About Me:
- I love watching sports and hanging out with friends. WVU football and the Penguins are the top 2.
- I love dancing. I will be the first person on the dance floor, and the last to leave.
- I like crossword puzzles, especially with company.
- Late night walks are routine for me… especially if it’s snowing.
- I thoroughly enjoy naps.
- I love hiking, and climbing things. Put me in a forest and I’m happy.
- I ski! (and would prefer Not be in a forest for that… it’s happened.)
- I can recite Edgar Allen Poe’s “The Raven” in its entirety. I love that poem.
- I taught myself to say the alphabet backwards my first day of college.
- I AM a rock paper scissors champion. It’s not a game to me. It’s a way of life.
- I have a fixation on canopied beds.
- I have an irrepressible urge to say bless you if I hear a sneeze. Even if they can’t hear me, I’ll still say it under my breath.
